Clarify is a lightweight software application built specifically for helping you take screenshots, combine multiple snapshots, and apply editing operations.
It boasts a clean and straightforward layout that allows you to capture a user-defined region of the screen or an active window. As soon as you take a photo, the tool automatically displays it in the primary panel.
Clarify gives you the possibility to set the delaying time before triggering the capturing mode, add a picture (PNG, JPEG, BMP, or GIF file format) from your computer using “drag and drop” operations, resize and crop the images, and increase the canvas size.
What’s more, you are allowed to insert arrows, rectangles, and ovals, highlight certain areas with a user-defined color, apply blurring effects, and embed textboxes, which can be customized in terms of size, opacity, color, and text font style.
The utility lets you perform basic editing operations (copy, paste, cut, remove), replace the selected picture with another one, and export the current image to PNG file format or copy it to the clipboard for pasting it into other third-party tools.
Last but not least, you can add text paragraphs between two photos, undo or redo your actions, use hotkeys for a better control over the entire process, check the spelling, perform search operations, export the document which contains all images and annotations to PDF file format, as well as share the information on EverNote or send it via email.
During our testing we have noticed that Clarify carries out a task quickly and without errors, and provides very good output results. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is no hampered.
All in all, Clarify offers a handy set of parameters for helping you merge multiple screenshots into a single document and embed annotations.
